When I am wrong I admit it and I acknowledge the person who corrected me. Just seems like the right thing to do. To save this embarrassment I avoid commenting on things outside my area of expertise.
Annoys me when people argue a point which is later shown to be incorrect and then slink away pretending nothing ever happened. I figure man up and admit you were mistaken or don't argue in the first place.
In this case I just think TN is convinced the shape of the cooler lid is what makes it thermally efficient. I reread his posts. I think he thinks there is some kind of magic which he can't articulate behind the inside having a smaller surface area on the inside of the lid than the outside.
That surface area difference is just the reality of having a lid that doesn't fall into the cooler. Plenty of ring pull
lift up lids that don't have a trapezoidal shape to disprove that is significant.
