Not necessarily. Considering that they are in Florida, they might use Central American labor. I am currently in
Guatemala and am totally amazed at the high quality canvas work done here. In my case some cushions were made for me using materials I had brought from the states, intending to do the work myself. However the local canvas maker was working on the
boat next door so I invited him over for a quote. I got all five cushions for my cockpit made, using my materials, for sixty dollars total. The excellent quality work, far better than I could have done myself, was completed in two days as quoted.
I don't know what the quote would have been with their materials, but I have been to the shop now and what I saw on the rack was brand name materials, I.e. Sunbrella, YKK, etc.
Since there are regular containers zipping back and forth from here to
Miami, that might be how they pull it off.
