Beachmaster dinghy wheels

I like the look of the Beachmaster wheels. But Do they work as well as the look? How are they for surf landings and pulling up the sand?

Re: Beachmaster dinghy wheels

Depends on the weight of the dink, mine is heavy and I have the Danard wheels, which are about the same as a Commercial wheelbarrow’s wheel and I think work better in soft sand and or a heavier dinghy.

Re: Beachmaster dinghy wheels

We had the Beachmaster wheels on our 11' Highfield with a 15 hp Yamaha (Enduro 2 stroke).

LOVED them. Very well made and engineered. I liked that the wheels didn't protrude above the dinghy when up so they didn't get in the way or have to be removed when storing the dinghy on the deck upside down. Small item, but nonetheless....

We used them all over New Zealand, Fiji, and Vanuatu and found they worked well in all but REALLY soft sand. In really soft sand though, we didn't really see any of the wheels working well.

Cheers,
Mark
