I usually don't get positively excited about the service
from most marine
suppliers as the all seem to be poor BUT ---- BUT
Today, I had a very pleasant surprise !!
One of our air units had stopped working while we were tied up in Cuba
last month. It had defied my usually good diagnostic ability so as we got into the Bahamas
and web/cell range I decided to send Mermaid Air in Ft Meyers, Fl. who manufactured the unit an email
to start on the path to resolving the issue on my 11 year old unit. I typed and sent forth an email
at 9:00AM .
Damn, at 9:35 AM my cell phone
rang and sure enough it was MERMAID AIR calling to help me diagnose the problem.!!!!!!
Not only did they call, but they talked intillegently and diagnosed the problem , telling me how to "Get Into" their unit and make it work
. Now they did not stop there-- they offered to send me the part needed at no charge saying "take it to any marine
air guy and he can braze it in and charge the unit"
