I have in mind 2 models, the first is the Gill OS2, and the second is the Musto BR2.

Maybe late to jump into this thread, but I am looking at the same for myself and found the
fabric between these 2 jackets are different onthe waterproof technical level.
The Musto BR2 offers a
water resistance of hydrostatic waterhead of 10,000mm to 15,000mm. (Their MPX is 28 000, and the HPX 28 000)
The Gill OS2 offers a
water resistance of hydrostatic waterhead of 20 000+ (Gill OS1 20 000+ but higher breathability and durability than Os1)
The hydrostatic waterhead measures how tall a column of water the
fabric can withstand before water starts to seep through. A Hydrostatic
Head of 10,000mm HH means that a fabric could hold a column of water that is 10,000mm tall.
I live in
Norway, coast can be wet and rough, so I will be trying the Gill for the first time, the water specifications caught my attention.
