Sun Screen Lotion

I am looking for a recommendation for good quality sun screen lotion that can be bought in a container larger than the standard 8-12 oz squeeze type tubes most often seen in stores. My previous purchase was from Australia of Home Brand, SPF 30, 1 litre size with a plunger type dispenser; but alas, it is all gone.

What I am lhoping to find is a good value buy, not necesarily the best that comes at a price premium!

Any brands and advice on the topic would be greatly appreciated.

Tom

We use zinc oxide on our face lifeguard style. Instead of buying it in the expensive section (sunscreen) we buy it in the cheap tubs (diaper section).

The purchase from Australia of Home Brand, SPF 30, 1 litre size with a plunger type dispenser sounds like the cheap round blue and white bottle I left on the boat, which was pretty good stuff?

On the other hand, I have a similar bottle of “Coles” home-brand and it is no where near as good so avoid that one!

I know it is not what you are looking for, but after years of surfing I have found the Garnier Ambre Solaire SPF 30+ - for sun sensitive skin very high protection milk offers the best care. Although expensive it ends up half economical due the fact it does not wash off and works extremely well. It is another one of the creams that leaves you looking a pale white – as did the first home-brand I mentioned.
