A lot of comments can be made but the information is valuable for those on the East Coast that think about running inlets to get out of weather.

That temporary bouy is hard to see when it´s blowing 25 knots. We had ne heck of a ride into the inlet with nasty waves breaking on either side.......i2f

I found it interesting that the boat sank last week and the article ran today. I guess Bin Laden was more newsworthy than a boat sinking in the inlet.

Yes, the inlet can get very rough. Did you take I2F through the inlet on the way to Miami? The post was made to let East Coasters know the conditions.

I know SailNDive( deep draft s/v) has run the inlet numerous times.
