Six people found murdered in Los Cabos.

Hello all, Not sure if this is the right place, but Health and Safety seems right.
I just heard on the news half hour ago 6 bodies found in the town of Los Cabos,
B.C.S. Mex. Two bodies were wrapped in plastic. Seems like this would be drug related.
I was in Los Cabos last July briefly as a stop over while bringing my boat up to L.A. The town appeared to be very clean and the people were friendly and helpful. I was telling my wife earlier today that we should go down to T.J. for
lunch as the stories of all the killings are over blown. Now I'm starting to have second thoughts. When I was in La Paz working on the boat there were stories almost every day of shootings in town but I always thought they were drug related and us gringos were safe if we kept out of their business.
What do you folks think? Still safe to go or not?

I was in Las Cabos for a week a month and a half ago, and in la Paz for the last month and a half. So far, so good. Didn't see many dead bodies during carnaval. Lucky I guess.
Good to know the 'war on tourism' is still going strong.
Haven't heard of any shootings since I've been in "The Peace".
Just pretend you're not a drug kingpin and you should be alright for the time it takes to eat a fish taco and have a cervesa.
