Sailors to the rescue IN San Francsico Bay

Father and daughter rescue man who jumped off Golden Gate Bridge | Fox News

Gotta watch when sailing under those bridges you never know what might be falling off of them.

I hate that he took his dog with him. There is a little surf break off the south tower and surfers there have picked up a jumper also. They don't publicize it but there are a LOT of jumpers from that bridge. When I used to go under it I was more worried about a nut or bolt falling on me than a person though.

Sad he took the dog with him. I'm always a little nervous sailing under the big bridges on the East River. Got to pass under four of them. Some have Subway trains rumbling across. I keep thinking of all the metal bolts and nuts that could vibrate loose and do some damage as I pass under. Worst was cruising the Erie Canal up near Schnectady. Had some youths up on the railroad bridge who thought it would be fun to throw some railroad ballast stones off of it. Luckily they missed.
