Dave, I hope they miss me and I know the insurance is paid up but if I go overboard I figure I'm dead, life jacket or no life jacket. We do keep throwable floatation in the cockpits and the MOM is ready to go but I do not want the added encomberance of a lifejacket when working on deck.

Death itself is relatively quick for drowning, but the pain others feel could go on for years if not a lifetime.

Any death of a shipmate on the water whether by accident or by poor judgment is sad. Sorry to hear of it. Condolences.
