Maybe the YouTube boat crowd are not so bad…
Seems like a week doesn’t go by without some YouTube inspired new boat owner being plucked from (subjective) peril by the coast guard or local equivalent. And the responses here on CF are somewhat predictable and not without some justification.
But if you are sick and tired of the wannabe sailors pushing the big red button as soon as the engine conks or the gin starts to spill, be thankful it hasn’t got THIS bad in boating circles. (Yet.)

Of course, it’s only a matter of time I suppose.

Come on , be nice, he didn't phone for help just because his feet were cold, he did have frostbite.
If he had the sense to wait until after lunch I'm sure he would have been OK.

What, skinny, bony feet unhidden by cosy sockies?! What is the world coming to? [pls don't answer that]
People purely don't know what they don't know. A good lesson for the fellow.
Nice pic of CM, too.

He was just trying to get into the record books, the category being the worlds dumbest human of this century.
It probably started out like,
"Hold my beer and watch THIS!"

Technology (in this case shoes) can be so frustrating when it doesn't work. However, even more so when you fail to use it. Maybe he was convinced Earth is flat and therefore...

Trouble is so many people are aspiring to this award and flouting it on social media it will only be a matter of time before those on safety committees are young enough to indulge in social media and they start thinking up new regulations that will unjustly affected older folk who have thus far avoided competing for the award.

Q: How many bureaucrats does it take to change a light bulb?
A: 44 to 45
One to issue the requisition form LB24,
one to sign the work order DF69,
three to consult with management, and reject both forms, as not applicable to maintenance, as per regulations,
seventeen to form a fact finding committee, to discuss the overuse of LB24, after ten months of debate, there will be an inquiry into the findings of this committee, and
twenty-one members will discuss the ramifications, of the darkened rooms, after a further year the undersecretary of public works will call a press conference to announce increased budget spending, to increase efficiency of the department!
And, perhaps, one who, eventually screws the lightbulb, into the water faucet.
