Thinking Moses will have been criticized by carrying two heavy stones from Mt Sinai wearing only Birkenstock sandals.

Re: Maybe the YouTube boat crowd are not so bad…
Living in the Italian Dolomites we see it all the time. (My girlfriend is a climber and one of her friends is a guide and works for the pronto socorso helicopter (medivac heli)).
Only in summer and mostly on the very instagramable hikes/spots. (think 3 cime di lavaredo, lago sorapis or the 3 torri). People literally come from their med beach holiday and on their return to wherever think... let's hike this or this and sometimes get in trouble.
The only problem is, (next to cost) there is always risk involved when a mountain rescue helicopter gets called up. Accidents don't happen often but they do happen. My girlfriend knew the guide who was part of the crew who died (he was her CAI mountain instructor).

Re: Maybe the YouTube boat crowd are not so bad…
As an X-firefighter/paramedic I did a lot of rescues. But now people are doing stupider things and expecting to get rescued. Maybe we should leave the stupid people to figure out how to save themselves. Most rescues could be avoided if people were smarter.
When I first was a firefighter there were no cell phones, so if you screwed up you had to save yourself.

One to issue the requisition form LB24,
one to sign the work order DF69,
three to consult with management, and reject both forms, as not applicable to maintenance, as per regulations,
seventeen to form a fact finding committee, to discuss the overuse of LB24, after ten months of debate, there will be an inquiry into the findings of this committee, and
twenty-one members will discuss the ramifications, of the darkened rooms, after a further year the undersecretary of public works will call a press conference to announce increased budget spending, to increase efficiency of the department!
And, perhaps, one who, eventually screws the lightbulb, into the water faucet.

Or they could risk an expedited response and just declare darkness as the new standard…

Actually poor old Moses had to do the mountain trip twice. He broke the first set of tablets (Exodus 31:18).

I never knew, how technologically advanced, Moses was.
But, today, I learned he had the first tablet, that could connect to the cloud.
