I read this in a
Chesapeake Bay newspaper. The fact that he took out a vessel that had known deficiencies is bad enough. It gets even worse given that the Coast Guard identified these
safety issues and told him he was not authorized to set sail without fixing the
safety issues. If you read further, you will see that he was tagged for the same thing in a previous incident!
This is dumb on so many levels. It's probably safe to say that given his prior violation, his penalties will be harsh, and deservedly so.
