How to Ship Flares from USA to Phuket

This is my first post. I live in the US (NY) and my boat in Phuket has only expired flares. When last there, I discovered that the local cost is easily double the US cost. But...I cannot find any way to ship from the US to either Thailand or Malaysia, without having to a) get a special licence or b) ship only as far as BKK and then pay a broker and then ground ship to Phuket.
Does everyone just buy 'local' flares?

you DO know I mean 'safety' flares right? Like meteors, smokes, hand helds, etc.?

Wouldn't worry about them unless they are really really really out of date.

If you are only paying twice the US price, that's probably much cheaper than trying to ship small quantities of hazardous material.

Just buy your flares there. worrying about what? $25-30..

I tried to ship flares from hawaii to florida. About 50 total. After a week searching I found it was impossible to do for a decent cost. Even talked to a shipper that does Hazardous Material. It was going to cost more to ship than it was to purchase 50 new flares.
