Hello. I am not currently
living aboard a vessel, nor will be anytime soon. Though the life intrigues me. I still have a ton of
Newbie questions. One that seems to be of special interest to myself (having hit the 1/2 century mark) is what do people do for
Health Insurance while cruising? If I was in the Continental
USA I believe this would easy to answer, but what about people that
cruise to
Caribbean,
Med, globally? From a few online Youtubers it seems like most pay out of pocket for services in Foreign Countries. Most comment that it's reasonably priced. I was watching Tubes on
Costa Rica (I was thinking about moving there after retirement), and you can
purchase Health Care there for a few hundred dollars per year.
I can see paying out of pocket for minor aliments, but what about major issues - broken bones, cuts/lacerations, dare I say Heart Attack, etc...
Is the a
Health Care Company that will insure a Worldwide Cruiser?
Thanks
