Groco Warning

Two boats here in Shelter Bay Marina in Panama, SA, have had water egress into their exhaust systems (one was into an engine) from recently purchased vacuum breaks from Groco. If you have recently purchased (I'm guessing in the last year or so) a Vacuum Break for any part of your boat from Groco I would advise you to check yours and make sure it functions as it is suppose to. The owner on Eclipse said he spoke with Groco and they went and checked their stock and found that the machining didn't drill part of the loop deep enough. They sent him a working one.

However; to date I've not seen any postings by Groco on this extremely dangerous situation.

Sincerely,
Dave Kall
