Grenada Hurricane plan

Howdy Folks.

We’re slowly making our way down to Grenada for this H-Season. In preparation for that, we’re working to get our heads around what to do in the event a hurricane or tropical storm is forecast to make it down our way.

I know Grenada is a popular spot for H-season and am looking for what others may have done in the past. We’ll be living aboard all season but are kicking around thoughts for when and where we’d go if a storm was forecast to hit the area. Head south to Trinidad/Tobago...further.

Not looking forward to watching every single storm aim our way and then waiting for them to turn. So figure having a plan in advance is the smart way to go. Always good to learn from others experience on this kind of stuff.

Go to Trini or arrange to get her in the hurricane frames at Prickly Bay.

Find an anchorage and stay aboard, or buy insurance and leave the boat at the dock and hide out in the mountains.
