Gas Alarm

Hi to all. Is anybody aware of a battery operated gas alarm? For detecting propane or butane NOT carbon monoxide.
The only one's I have found so far are 12v hard wired or leak detectors that are for limited use. Thanks.

Re: Gas Alarm

One of the best I have seen is the 'Cub – Personal PID Gas Monitor' as here: ION Science CUB Clip on mini PID 10.6eV with Dock Station for general VOCs with a 10.0eV lamp for total aromatics (TAC) with a battery life of around 16 hours.

But, these do not come out cheap around $1500.

and can be purchased through their outlet in Stafford, Texas Ion Science / USA

Other possible is here: GX-6000 6 Gas, Sample Draw With PID & Super Toxics | RKI Instruments, Inc.

Pricey all, but if needs must, and what price on a life?

Hope this is of some help, good luck
