Deck hatch safety nets?

Kids (and some adults) seem to fall through hatches a lot, especially on catamarans where they are numerous and oftentimes in the 'transit zones'.

Is there a supplier for safety nets for the most common deck hatch types/sizes?

Re: Deck hatch safety nets?

This is the first I've heard of it being a problem.

Re: Deck hatch safety nets?

I don't know how much of a problem it is and if it's enough to have nets, but:

My mechanic and friend were working on Palarran's engines when my friends 5 year old son ran (bad) down the deck and fell through the hatch, right between the two men, onto the motor. Quite unbelievable and also that he didn't get hurt at all.

I'm by far more fearful of running rigging accidents and kid overboards then this though.
