Copper tank

Hello all,
Recently bought a Seamaster cruiser (for restoration)for inland waterways use. It came with a disconnected copper hot water tank (calorifier, heated from the engine). I have no intention of using this method of water heating. My question: Could I use this tank, if flushed out, as a fresh water tank? There is no water tank on board at present, and this copper tank is a neat fit under the cockpit. Any health issues with copper?

Re: Copper tank

Yes, its fine for use with water. There are no health issues with using a copper tank to store potable water. Its quite safe.
