Burke Bosun's chair

In case anyone has one and didn't know this:

Luckily, we always have used a back-up chest harness. But very luckily.

Those were manufactured 14 years ago, so they probably have it sorted out by now, I would have thought. But good to check old stock or if you have an old one.

Yes, I know that NOW. It never would have been on my radar to check for recalls on bosun's chairs. I'm just posting this incase someone else has one from back in the era.

I did e-mail the manufacturer. No response.

Re: Burke Bosun's chair

What's the cause? I spent half a day in my bosuns chair a few months ago doing works on the mast, and later on just happened to wrigle around with that ring to find this:

That day is my second birthday now.

Wow, we were both lucky. I haven't received a response from Burkes yet. I would think they should still cover a replacement under the recall.
