Re: BTW: Who cancelled hurricane season this year?

We sorta liked it this way!! We have had to move the boat most every year, but then we do live in Hurrycane Alley !! I believe this was only one or two of the years we have not had at least 1 or 2 tropic storms at least !! But Im not complaing !! LOL We would much rather sit em out in Rio D or Panama, but we still have 3 yrs before we can take off full time !! So we are stuck with Hurrycanes LOL

Tell me about it. 500 miles away on the Great Lakes and our insurance doubled due to Sandy.

Yepp, if you see this movie: "U 31" mitten im Orkan vor Englands Küste | NDR.de - Regional - Schleswig-Holstein

german submarine U31 on the way from baltic harbor to England during hurricane Christian few weeks ago. It could´nt dive because of less draft. Waves up to 8m, 12 Bf, heeling up 48°

According to some whacko preppers I know, Sandy was just a test of the USA Govt's Weather Weapon....maybe they've been too busy working on it to do hurricane season this year. ;-)

Re: BTW: Who Cancelled Hurricane Season This Year?

We should have stayed in Georgetown, Bahamas.....just like I wanted. Almost did, but you never know what the hurricane season will bring. That's ok, we're on our way back now. Could have saved some $ on fuel, and wear and tear on the boat. Oh well, hurricane season is something cruisers work around, best that they can. No complaints here! No hurricanes is way better than the alternative.
