Okay, the wife has informed me I must give her the list now.

I want a handheld GPS chartplotter. We are getting ready to retire, and may be doing some chartering, or crewing, or buying another sailboat.

It would be nice to have a backup. Not too huge, must work on batteries, and plug in current.

What is the current forum favorite? I appreciate the help. I am not a technogeek, and dont need every bell and whistle. Sturdy and useable.

Buy a Garmin handheld from west marine. Check them out on line for some great Christmas specials. The 78 was on sale half price earlier this week. All USA charts are pre loaded.
