Weather?

Hi guys,

I picked up a copy of Mariner's Weather by William P. Crawford at the used book store. Normally I'll put up the driest of technical manuals when its a topic of interest... but I'm admitting defeat.

Any suggestions for an introductory book on weather?

I'm also in the market for an easy to read barometer. The Weems and Plath I have seen, take a few hundred bucks before a magnifying glass isn't needed!
