Trip Planning

So in a year I am leaving South Texas on my families Catalina 320. Most likely sailing alone for the first leg on the trip to Florida. does anyone have any navigational experience or advice for going from the Houston Area to the Tampa Bay area? I'm mostly looking for refueling and resupplying stops, or even a trip itinerary that I can use as a model if anyone has one. Much thanks!
