Trip info/planning

I'm looking for advice on best charts and guides for a trip I am planning. The plan is to sail from Pacific Northwest south to Panama, West to South Pacific, North to Hawaii, North to Alaska and back to Portland Or. I realize this is a large area, with many parts, would appreciate any bits and pieces that may be offered. I am also working through the "World Cruising Routes" text looking for timing, any help in this regard would be appreciated as well.
