Transiting western Erie Canal

I have been reading this forum for years but not sure I've posted before. I'm helping a friend deliver a boat from Buffalo through the Erie Canal. I'm only doing the Western section. I've taken my boat from the Hudson to Oswego many times. Does anyone know how long it takes to transit from Buffalo to, say, the Genesee River? This is on a power boat so we will be able to travel at the posted speeds. There are only 4 locks but there are 14 lift bridges. Thanks for any help.

As you know the trip through the Erie Canal is one of the great trips in the world. I do not want anybody to do it fast; one misses a lot. That said, someone may have different ideas.


Here's some places you can see on the west end. First, Saturday night on the canal at Tonawanda. The North Tonawanda carousal. The museum right on the Erie Canal at Lockport. And others.
