TimeZero output to NMEA 2000 autopilot?

-Have Actisense NGT-1 working with NMEA 2000, seeing all devices on the network
-In the last step of connection wizard, NMEA2000 output is enabled
-Need to know how to send route to autopilot via NMEA 2000

Manual is garbage, does not contain actual steps or information to the best of my ability.

In general, you don’t send the route to the autopilot. It stays on the plotter/computer and you activate it there. Once activated, the plotter/computer should send messages on NMEA that the autopilot uses for steering, but it will still ask to confirm switching to automatic and often also when switching to the next waypoint of the route.

I have had this working with iSailor on my iPad. OpenCPN had trouble as it didn’t keep the messages going steady enough to the liking of my B&G autopilot. I have used TimeZero as well but it was too long ago to remember the specifics.

What, it's going to silently send those messages to autopilot and there's no way of activating a route without it automatically going to the autopilot? That seems weird.

Sorry, what will ask to confirm? The software or the autopilot?

Please read my comments again. There is no route sent to the autopilot. The autopilot will ask for a confirmation before steering to the first waypoint, as well as for each new waypoint of the route.

When you activate a route, you command the plotter to start sending route guidance messages. Examples of these messages are bearing to active waypoint, crosstrack etc.

OK, will have to check the NMEA stream maybe to see or test on board.
