Tasmania, Port Huon, Notice to Mariners

There is a sunken Timber tug,the Dooen, located in Hospital Bay, Port Huon. She used to have an illuminated isolated hazard mark on her, which has gone away.

Here's the notice:

Valid From: 4/11/2016
Valid Until: Perpetual
Notice Content:
Mariners are advised that the buoy marking the sunken vessel Dooen in Hospital
Bay in position 43⁰ 09.530’ S / 146⁰ 58.357’ E is missing.

As you can see, MAST does not plan to replace the missing marker.

If you are planning to go to Tassie for next year's Wooden Boat Festival,
you may want to download the notice to mariners direct, which includes a picture of the location of the Dooen, so as to be able to better avoid it.

If you think the mark should be replaced, then contact Julie Wells, e-mail address above, with your opinion, and your reasons for the opinion.
