That was a good read, I still can't find the main pilot as an ebook though which is a shame.
Anyone else done this trip? From what I have read sounds like the following is roughly the go (very simplified of course).
1. Come out of the Solent and
head West down the coast for a while, tides, etc have to be in your favour.
2.
Head down from the coast, crossing at a right angle to the TSS just above the channel islands, then down the
East coast of Guernsey (keeping at least 4 miles off shore to avoid rocks).
3. Follow the Little Russel (198degreesT) track down then switch over to the Castle Breakwater (220degreesT) and head into St Peters Port.
4. A lot of care has to be taken with tidal gates else we'll shoot right past.
I know this is a very simple overview but is that a good first pass I have to
work up or would you do something very different?
