Simrad NX40 NMEA GPS receiver wiring in.

Hi guys,
Can you help? How do I connect an NMEA 0183, 4800 baud rate GPS receiver to a Simrad NX40? Does it fix onto the special fuel cable as shown in the Simrad manual? If so, do I need to do anything in the Simrad menu to get it working. Really greatful of any help.
Thanks in advance,
Dave

Re: Simrad NX40 NMEA GPS receiver wiring in.

ah thanks , my interest is kind of roundabout as I actually want to take the nmea out from the simrad into a yakker NMEA to WiFi BRIDGE. Just interested in the cables, not worth it to add a whole new gps as input into my old Simrad. I found a cable online, bare wires at one end. Need to investigate more as to feasibility
