I wish SAR operations used military forces co-op more ... Then larger areas could be searched, quicker.

They usually are in the USA....and if requested by a host country will usually be used if operations permit.

Re: Schooner Nina - MERGED 3 THREADS

It definitely warrants investigation - it looks quite angular in shape, possibly tent-like/man-made. The image resolution doesn't help of course! What date was the image taken?

Good luck friends and family of Nina, we're with you all the way.

Date and lat long would be helpful.

The link seems to require a user password

Sharon Drummond 7:19pm Aug 17 Cherie Martinez ... Original coordinates were -28.833728, 165.80061 Comment History Sharon Drummond 7:09pm Aug 17 The original date stamp was August 3 and then August 7. Got an email from Tom Nod and they said they were loading a new search area, however, they did not denote date stamp. Sharon Drummond 7:07pm Aug 17 I only have the coordinates that TES had designated for the search area as of 5:00am . Unfortunately, Tom Nod does not give you latitude/longitudes... Only a map page number that THEY have the coordinates for. Cherie Martinez

Hope this helps all!! Cherie

Re: Schooner Nina - MERGED 3 THREADS

Thanks Cherie
Is the time stamp adjusted to the local time? Im guessing it's not because at this time of year it would be dark at 7pm. Or is the time stamp related to the time the image was logged with Tom Nod? Either way, the time of day is less important than the date and location of the image.
