It just fell on my virtual doorstep too. Anyone had experience with Savvy Navvy?

Re: Savvy Navvy

The YouTubers on “Sailing Fair Isle” did a review of it some time ago.

Haven’t heard anyone else using it.

Re: Savvy Navvy

I use it but not on long passages so far.
It has got a lot better than when it first started. I find it very useful for quickly checking different routes and times. It allows for tides which here in the UK is important and affects most decisions.
The charts are good for planning.
The only gripe I have is the polars are not good for a catamaran. I have to reduce the length to get anything near to ours. I think theirs are based on a racing cat! Don't know about mono's.

I checked Sailing Fair Isle. It seems that it is worthwhile for me to spend some proper time looking in to it. Thanks for the help.

Re: Savvy Navvy

I've been using it for advance passage planning this year. It has good features, but the user interface is slow and laggy and locks up for a few seconds fairly frequently. This happens on both my old phone (Samsung Galaxy S20+) and new phone (Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra), both of which otherwise perform well.
