Re: Sat2Chart

John Evans,

Question: are you making a Kap or an Mbtiles? If its a Kap then it can only have the highest zoom level as kaps do not support mutilple zooms so when you zoom out it will get blurry. If you are creating kaps, create Mbtiles instead.

Re: Sat2Chart

John,

I responded to your email yesterday, I said:

The screenshot you are showing me of SasPlanet is at Z17 not Z13. At Z13 it is very blurry so what you are seeing in the chart is correct. Try zooming out Sasplanet to Z13 and you will see it is very blurry.

Re: Sat2Chart

Sat2Chart.V15.0.4.0 is now available. Fixes:
  1. Crossing the 180 meridian. Will produce a chart on either side.
  2. New logic for paths.
  3. Crash if creating a KML/AT5 at high zoom level.
  4. Nokia "Here Sat (wego.here.com)" map has a new version. To get it work you will also need the latest version of SasPlanet from my website or update your existing entry for this map in you current SasPlanet, let me know if you need to know how to do this.

Re: Sat2Chart

Sat2Chart.V15.0.5.0 is now available.
This version is all about adding depth soundings to satellite charts.
It includes:
  • A new utility: Add_Depths that allows you to add depths to a mbtiles chart. Its for users who do their own depth soundings and want to put them on a existing mbtiles.
  • A new SasPlanet option "Add marine depths to chart". This option will add depths from a marine map like C-Map or Navionics to a satellite map.
  • The SasPlanet option "Add XYZ depths" now handles .emo files from the European Community Organisation.

I have added/modified the Help and tutorials for all the above.

This is the link to download the new version:
http://gdayii.ca/Downloads/Sat2Chart.V15.0.5.0.exe

Paul, are these "Sasplanet" options (thus requiring new Sasplanet download") or new "Sat2Chart" options?

Re: Sat2Chart

Hi, I'm getting the no hlgs error below... I'm running the Sat2Chart 15.0.5.0 and SAS from gdayii.ca on Windows 10. I enabled Multi-Map support and selected the ArcGIS.Imagery and Navionics marine maps. Any idea why hlg creation could be failing?

Error: no hlgs to process. Did you select any maps?
Error: R_Start_All_SasPlanets failed.

Re: Sat2Chart

liliakai,

You are going to have to send me an email and attach the Sat2Chart.log for me to determine why.

My email is in the Help and that log should be in:
C:\SAT2CHART\SAT2CHART.V15.0.5.0

Paul

Re: Sat2Chart

You know what really peeves me is you bust your ass to help someone to get going with Sat2Chart, give them a fix then hear nothing from them.

In my view there are two kinds of people .. givers and takers. You are one of the first and those of whom you speak are the second.

Re: Sat2Chart

Here is an example of using the Add Marine depths function that takes depths and iso lines from a marine chart like Navionics and adds them to a satellite mbtiles chart created by one user.

The first screenshot is the mbtiles with depths. the second without.

That narrow pass at the bottom is now better known.
