Re: Sat2Chart

skipperearly,
If you are getting the zoom levels for both a path and Polygon its probably because the file (.gpx, kml) you selected has both in it. You probably exported it with more than one selected. Open the file with any editor and check.

If get that kind of error as you show then email the Sat2Chart.log as an attachment.

attached the log (delete the pdf extension) and kml.
Haven't (knowingly) selected path and polys in the export.

Thanks for looking into this.

Re: Sat2Chart

Your KmZ contains Four Polygon/Paths:

Hafen Weiden
Neusiedl
Sibenik-Skradin - path
Neusiedlersee

When you export them from SasPlanet you must export them one at a time using the small disk icon see attachment

Re: Sat2Chart

BTW: Sat2Chart will handle a polygon/Path file (gpx or KML/KMZ) that does contain multiple polygon/paths in it. The reason yours did not work is that you did not select any zoom level(s) for the polygons and that caused the program to crash. I will put checks in the next version to make sure you have selected zoom levels.

Re: Sat2Chart

Hi Paul, I hope every thing is ok.
Is possible to download the Sat2chart tutorial in pdf to read it when there is no internet connection?

Navacino,

Yes just open the Help and at the top there is a link to all the tutorials. Select the ones you want and press the Download arrow.

Re: Sat2Chart

Hi Paul, when I try to create a chart from a polygon I get this error message.

This occurs when I click on the brows button next to paths and polygons. I have been doing this for years without any problems. I did just update to the latest sat2chart.

Thanks Mike

Re: Sat2Chart

MikeDodd,

Somehow the parameter in the Sat2Chart.Options.txt called AREAGPXKML=
has nothing after the equals sign.

To fix this:
- with SatChart not running
- edit the Sat2Chart.Options.txt file (Notepad is fine)
- Find the AREAGPXKML= and change it to AREAGPXKML=C:\
- Save the file
- Start Sat2Chart and try the browse again.

Paul

Re: Sat2Chart

Good morning Paul, sorry to bother you but I must make some basic errors and am stuck.
I have already in cache X11-X20 of the selected area by polygon.
When I try to create mbtiles I see that sasplanet selection is changed from polygon to visual screen and sas2chart is putting sasplanet into full screen - which then causes the error message.

I attach the screenshots and the log files.

Pls advise where I made a mistake - thanks!

I don't see the log file you sent the Options. Send me an email with the Sat2Chart.log file as an attachment. My email is in the Help.
