Re: Sat2Chart
I have cancelled the Zoom meeting for tomorrow. I am working on some significant changes to GE overlay feature. Once they are working I will reschedule.

Re: Sat2Chart
Sat2Chart.V11.0.6.0 is now available
- New Google Earth Overlay option: Make water transparent
This option allows you to create a chart from OpenCPN or SasPlanet and replace the water with the Google earth display enabling you to see under water objects like reefs but the depth soundings from OpenCPN/SasPlanet are still shown. See the screenshots below of SasPlanet and the resulting chart after overlaying onto GE and making both the water and land transparent.
The tutorial "Overlaying onto Google Earth Pro" has been updated to reflect this change.
Many thanks to my tester Terry (mad dog) on S/V Valhalla. This was a tough one to get working.
Here is the link to download the new version:

Re: Sat2Chart
Sat2Chart.V11.0.7.0
As with any new option it needed tweaking. My tester (Terry Sargent) found sometimes the depth units were hard to read. This version fixes that.
Here is the download link : http://gdayii.ca/Downloads/Sat2Chart.V11.0.7.0.exe
This will be version used in my next Zoom Meeting on Monday.

Re: Sat2Chart
Sat2Chart.V11.0.8.0 is now available.
Highlights:
- Overlay support for SasPlanet satellite maps. You can add depth sounding to them from CMap or Navionics Marine.
- No longer assumes that CMap and Navionics depth unit are meters. User has to select the correct one
- Mbtiles chart created from overlay were not geo-referenced correctly.
Download link: http://gdayii.ca/Downloads/Sat2Chart.V11.0.8.0.exe
Example of the new option to add depths soundings to a SasPlanet satellite map:
SasPlanet ArcGIS.Map and resulting chart with Cmap depths added:

Re: Sat2Chart
Paul, as always, thank you for your great software!
I am creating depth soundings for uncharted/poorly charted areas here in BC. Currently, I am using QGIS to creat vector shapefiles (and sometimes geotiffs) with the depths overlaid on a satellite image from Sasplanet.
I can make a kap or mbtiles file from the above, or can use the OPCPN Photolayer plugin (PC version, not, unfortunately yet available on Android). I prefer the latter option as I can adjust the transparency of the geotiff.
Sorry for the long preamble:
It would be nice if SAT2CHART could import depths (gpx or xyz file) as an option instead of Navionics etc (as Navionics, CMap etc usually will not have any better depth data if area poorly charted).
But perhaps this beyond the purpose of SAT2CHART?

Re: Sat2Chart
sv_pelagia,
That does sound interesting and would be willing to consider that as an option to Sat2Chart. Could you send me an email so we can discuss it further. My email is in the Help of Sat2Chart.
