Sailing across the Med East to West

We spent last season sailing from La Rochelle across the Med to Turkey. This season we will be in Turkey and Greece for 90 days then up to Albania and Croatia for 90 days to get out of Schengen Thereafter in August we would sail the Med to Gibraltar I would like advice for best Route sailing West to Gibraltar considering that winds will be predominantly from NE/N. We will have aproximately 4 months to reach Gibraltor.

Wait for cold fronts to come through and you'll get favorable winds. We sailed from Turkey to Gibraltar and we traveled to Balearic Islands via Peloponnese in Southern Greece, Sicily, Volcano Islands, Sardinia and then to Balearic Islands. From there to mainland Spain. We then coastal cruised to Gibraltar. All of our longer passages were in cold fronts. Some rain but good winds making good time. Can't be in a hurry.
