RAYMARINE ST6000 remote compatibility

Can anyone tell if my friends Ramarine ST6000 autopilot remote would be compatible with my AUTOHELM 6000 autopilot. I'm chiefly concerned that the computer link won't be compatible.

Ummm aren’t they the same thing with a different badge? Raymarine used to be called Autohelm in the UK

AUTOHELM is under the RAYMARINE trademark. But the displays on the remote seem to provide more information then the display on the AUTOHELM. I'm just suspicious that the RAYMARINE unit may not be able to communicate with the AUTOHELM. Before attempting to try it I want to be sure I'm not opening a can of worms.
