PolarView on Mac with ChartWorld S-63 charts?

Before I spend 150 Euro, is anyone out there using these charts for Central America- and do you like them?

lorenzo,

it may be worth mentioning which specific charts you are looking at. ChartWorld sells both official S63 charts from a number of government agencies and Navionics translated charts (basically Navionics data in S63 format).

The biggest one is:
1I08015
Caribbean Sea - Central America

There are a number of smaller charts, such as:
GB201220
CENTRAL AMERICA - EAST COAST - GULF OF HONDURAS

Formats are directENC and S-63 for all of them.

Re: PolarView on Mac with ChartWorld S-63 charts?

Chart cell whose names begin with 1I are Navionics S63. These have the same data as any other Navionics charts.

Cells beginning with GB are official ENCs produced by United Kingdom (UKHO). I know that their coverage of Virgin Islands is excellent, and generally they have pretty good reputation.

The important point to keep in mind is that official S63 charts will come from variety of sources - each country may make their own. Some are better than others.

very helpful. so most of the smaller charts are GB.
I assume I'm ordering S63's to use with Polarview.

Yes, S63. ChartWorld system won't let you pick another format for our product anyway (and neither for most other products).
