For us: Yes!

Paper charts for ocean voyage and coast passage making. Chart plotter/laptop nav software for harbor, port, river, bay details. Augmented by Google Earth snaps saved to the hard drive before leaving wifi connections.

But never forget that the electrons will sometimes fail. For us it was an alternator diode burn out that put the boat in the dark half-way to Hawaii. Out comes the paper chart, parallel rules, and pencils. A Garmin 76 (no micro charts, no color) provided a noon fix for the rest of the crossing. Good enough. We hit Hilo spot on.

We have almost every chart covering our passage from the Australian East Coast through Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Philippines, Taiwan, Japan, Aleutians to the Alaskan Mainland and every possible deviation in between.

Maybe it is a leading question. Do you have paper charts? YES. Have I bothered or needed to pull them out of the locker in the past 6 years? NO. Have I invested a fortune in a paper back up navigation alternative to a Electronic Navigational system that has plenty of redundancy? YES. Would I do it different now if I was just heading off? ABSOLUTELY.

I have the paper charts stashed in waterproof bags stored under the aft bunk. When we first got them I checked to make sure they were correct, then stashed them away just in case the electronics go wrong.

I validate paper charts by cross referencing them with published chart corrections.

Make sure that the charts are what I ordered, cover the area it is labeled as, no major printing errors, ect. I do not correct paper charts weekly (yes you are supposed to). But I do update my chart plotter every trip to charts with the newest notice to mariners.

Back in the dream time when I had the job of correcting world wide chart folios we used to get maybe a few months NtM arrive all at once so you had to prioritise the corrections... ie ... do the ones for where you were going...

That said .... Europe, N Am, Japan , Persian Gulf... heaps of corrections

S America, S Pacific, etc... very rare to have any...

There should be another category: "Yes it's my ONLY navigation system."
For me, navigating on paper, piloting by compass and leadline, plotting DR fixes etc is one of the joys of being at sea. I have no desire to complicate my life with electronic doodads that detract from the experience I'm seeking.

So 13.85% of you have no valid insurence and could be held liable for any damage in the event of a collision due to having no legal means of navigation! That phase 'predent' in you insurence means taking all reasonable measure to comply with SOLAS and your national regulations which include carrying certified and updated hydrographic charts. Chartplotter with rster charts does not count as they are not certified. Must be paper or ENC.
