Open CPN connecting GPS from tablet

After having installed Open CPN and charts on a Toshiba Encore/WT8-A tablet, the program is working under Windows 8.1. The tablet is with built in GPS, but it doesn't connect to Open CPN. Does any one know how to make the connection via tools in Open CPN?
