NOAA Charts on Compact Flash ?

Is there any way to save the NOAA charts to Compact Flash cards and have them read by a Raymarine Chart Ploter (C70)?

F51, Raymarine plotters work only with Navionics and C-Map charting chips. The C70 uses Navionics CF chips. Chuck

Yep. As far as that goes, I am not aware of ANY dedicated chartplotter that uses any type of free chart.

But OpenCPN can't run on a dedicated chartplotter. You have to have a computer for that.

Sorry, just dashed that off , got up and on my way to kitchen, I thought," That won't interface with any of the chartplotters". Too late after you press submit. I'll try to do better.

Hehe. Dang internet. A throwaway thought like you had, if it was in a conversation, people would forget it in seconds. But here, it's enshrined in little bits on a computer forever!

Later, when your next post is brilliant, I'll point you back here to help you retain your humility. As that famous philosopher, Bugs Bunny, once said: "Ain't I a stinker?".
