Nexus Server 0183 to Wifi to iPad

I am wanting to stream NMEA data (primarily wind) from my Nexus NX2 FDX server w multi instruments to my iPad w Regatta Pro. I bought a YDWN NMEA 1083 wifi unit, ran power, connected it to the Nexus server NMEA Out ports and into the wifi unit RX ports and... nada. No data.

I have the baud rate at 9600, and tried both TCP and UDP.


Haven’t been able to find detailed instructions or troubleshooting online. Has anyone else done this, and have a checklist of things to ensure re: installation and config (ports, tcp vs udp, baud rate, etc)??

Figure this out w/ help from a guy at Sailing Anarchy.

The Nexus RS-485 bus is 9600, but the NMEA output from the server is 4800. So the baud settings have to be configured at 4800. Everything working great now.
