Need to Escape in February.

Have my Yacht in Kemah Tx and was planning on crossing the gulf to key west at the end of this month. Unfortunately life, work and some health issues have gotten in my way.
The closest time I see myself leaving would be around the first of feb. 2017.
Any thoughts or suggestions would be awesome, Heard it sucks out there that time of year.
