Navionics clutter

Bought a chart card for my Navionics chart plotter. How do I get rid of all this clutter? This is absurd. Map lines and oil lease grids everywhere. You cant even see anything actual useful in the Gulf. My iPhone does not have all this.

I suspect the manual will tell you how to turn various data layers on and off.

Re: Navionics clutter

Had something similar when I installed new Navionics SD card in my plotter. There is somewhere a setting for “bottom profile”, type, carateristics or something similar. Turned it of and nice clean deep sea color appeared with only depth lines when zoomed in. Bottom profile is not systematically present in all chart areas.

Re: Navionics clutter

Hmm... Navionics on my phone shows them there, as does their web viewer. It does depend on the zoom level, so I suggest zooming out until they disappear and noting the chart scale at that point. (On the phone, they don't appear until the scale bar reads ~4.6 NM.)

Your plotter likely has a "declutter" setting in the presentation settings that may or may not help.

Re: Navionics clutter

WIthout knowing the model of your Raymarine (not Navionics) chartplotter, it's hard to tell you what buttons to push. But your plotter manual will have the information.

Yip, what plotter are you using. You can adjust the amount of detail you want on most plotters in the chart display options (or similar). Also maybe if you zoomed in closer it could help.

Re: Navionics clutter

Look at ‘chart details’ in the menu option....
