Navionic Gold Charts

I bought the Navionic Great Lakes & Maritimes Gold Charts for my Lowrance LMS-522c, back in February.
I just installed it this weekend to replace my old unit.
The coverage is excellent on the US side of the Great Lakes, but the Canadian side is very poor to no coverage.
Is there a program I need to download to give me Canadian chart data from
Navionics?
It seems strange to see a chart stop along the international border, especially in Lake Ontario.
Has anyone else experienced this problem?
I was under the impression when I purchased it the Great Lakes would be both sides.
Any help would be appreciated.

Please make sure that wHen you go into map data that you turn on the correct chart area. You may not have Lake Ontario tunred on. This is a function that Lowrance has built into the chart plotter. Good luck and let me know?

At one time the Canadian government sold the rights to Canadian charts to a private company that charged so much for the license to reproduce them that nobody bought the data. Therefore no Canadian electronic charts. Your Navionics might have been done during this period. In any event I think the government finally bought the rights back as there are Canadian electronic charts again. Maybe Navionics is too cheap to buy the data like they are with their Bahamas charts.

Great to hear that you are able to use your charts, and that the data was all there.

We were only seeing the Lowrance base mapping, which doesn't cover Canadian waters or Canada.(they're loss)
Navionics directed me to map data(enter), map choice(enter),there I found the desired chart with excellant coverage.
