Hi Guys,
I'm struggling a little with planning this trip. Last year was easy as I didn't have any
work obligations but now i have to pay for last years travels so I most definitely do have to go to
work when I'm asked.
My issue is only having a between 3 - 4 weeks off and the
Miami to
Azores leg is 18 days.
Here's my question:
Weather wise, could I sail
Miami to
Bermuda in June (leave it there and go to work for 1 month) then,
Bermuda to
Azores in August (this is the trip that worries me) back to work for September then,
Azores to Balaerics in October?
I've contacted Chris Parker and he's all set up as our
weather guru. I'll ask his thoughts on the above also but I value you guys real life experiences in the months in question.
Other considerations are
Marinas in Bermuda and Azores and the cost. My
insurance says in out of the
hurricane zone in Bermuda so I'm covered after July 1st. We have thought about alternatives but ruled them all out, we have to get the
boat back to
Europe for another season.
Anything else I should be thinking about?
