Marine Navigator -Android App

The Marine Navigator Light is a great and simple FREE GPS smartphone navigation app using your own imported .BSB or .KAP charts.

Under way it continuously updates your loaction on a marine chart.
That´s about it on the Lite version.

A Marine Navigator Pro type is also available at around US$14.- which has a few more features. Works very well on my Galaxy S II.

Re: MARINE NAVIGATOR-ANDROID APP

Just upgraded to the pro version which looks very promising.

It is also supposed to be able to use imported route files but having tried both .gpx and .kml versions, none of them are visible in the directory indicated.

Re: MARINE NAVIGATOR-ANDROID APP

Oooopppssss...my mistake... I had put the route files in the Track directory.

The .gpx route file loads and displays as it should,BUT,there is no way to show the information contained? Just black dots indicating the waypoint locations.
Pressing a waypoint just shows up a blinking red circle, nothing else?

I also miss the ability to import .kml route/track files.

There should also be a way to group the charts in country directories instead of the endless list you have to scroll to find the desired chart.

Well,perhaps in the next version?
