Marco to Boot Key Harbor

We are heading to Marathon end of April and Ive noticed lots of trips useing the yacht channel. Is there any reason to not come off the Cape Romano shoals and sail straight across the bay?

No reason at all, I've done that crossing dozens of times. Besides, the 'yacht channel' doesn't go to Marathon, it ends up ~20nm east.

I suggest a daylight crossing as it's a minefield of crab pots this time of year.

Set a course for the marker at Bullard Bank then follow the markers to Moser channel under 7-Mile bridge.

We plan to be in Marathon (with a little luck) the weekend of the 26th. And thanks for the welcome.
