Re: Lights of Europe and North America

Just zoomed into the Solent and IOW and I can assure you there are very many more lights than are shown here, and very important ones two. For a start it is not showing the lighthouses at the Needles or St Katherines, nor any of the very many channel lights into the Solent and up Southampton Water, nor the leading lights for entrance to Chichester Harbour, not Portsmouth Harbour or any of the other lesser ports and harbours. As far as I can see it is dangerously misleading and really quite pointless other than for a bit of entertainment.

So, what I think is that this was never meant as a nav aid or any useful tool, but as an art object or curiosity for land lubbers. I suppose that it is thus successful...

Re: Lights of Europe and North America

Fair Isle is missing...

You'll crash right into the island if you don't be careful (and will sadly miss the opportunity to admire those two beautiful buildings (NORTH: https://www.nlb.org.uk/lighthouses/f...e-north-skroo/, SOUTH: https://www.southlightfairisle.scot/)).

But cool animation otherwise!

Re: Lights of Europe and North America

At this point it's just a curiosity.

The display is made useless when you zoom in. You can see many more lights, but all light symbols are also zoomed up. So they cover each other up. They should stay the same screen size as you zoom in. And to make it a useful tool, hovering mouse over any light should bring up a text box with all the data on that light.
